Sheraton Maui
2605 Kaanapali Parkway - Kaanapali Hotel |
In Hawaiian tradition, it is the place where natural forces come together: A
natural promontory rises 100 feet above the sparkling surf. Pu’u Keka’a,
“hill creating strength through enlightenment.” For ancient Hawaiian royalty
it was a magical place. Now, generations later, this ancient spirit is
reborn at the Sheraton Maui.
Now, torches once more light the sky at dusk as a cliff diver plunges into
the rolling surf. 23 acres of tropical landscaping, rife with native
blossoms, sweep down to the cobalt Pacific. Lava-rock waterways meander
towards a vast lagoon. And through a grove of coconut trees lies
Ka’anapali’s purest expanse, where a sheltered cove shimmers with crystal
water and stories are told in footprints on a half-mile of brilliant sand.
Situated on a beautiful wide stretch of Ka’anapali Beach, the Sheraton Maui
is just three miles from Lahaina, the "art capital of the Pacific", and
within walking distance of Whalers Village. The hotel is two-and-a-half
miles from the Kapalua-West Maui Airport, providing quick 30-minute
scheduled Honolulu flights. Kahului Airport, 31 miles from Ka’anapali, is
served by inter-island, domestic, and international carriers.
Torch
Lighting Ceremony:
As the sun begins its slow dive into the ocean, torch lighting signals the
nightly ritual of Lele Kawa (cliff diving). Legend tells us the last chief
of Maui, Kahekili (Thunderer), proved his spiritual strength by leaping from
the sacred Pu’u Keka’a to the Pacific. With sunset painting the sky, young
cliff divers honor their heritage nightly - - during our cliff diving
ceremony - - by plunging from Black Rock.
Swimming Pool:
Sheraton Maui features a 142-yard fresh water swimming lagoon that meanders
through tropical gardens, and under wooden-carved bridges. An outdoor spa
set amidst lava rock formations and waterfalls cascading from lush tropical
flower beds assure you that you are in Hawaii. With depths from one foot in
our Keiki (Kiddies) Pool, to eight feet throughout the lagoon, guests of all
ages will enjoy our water oasis.
A nearby
outdoor spa is set amid lava rock formations and surrounded by two outdoor
bars. Tropical landscapes with coconut palms and expansive lawns enhance the
overall ambiance.
Keiki
Aloha Maui

experience through the eyes of children, the Keiki Aloha program combines
Hawaiian history and culture with arts, crafts and games that children will
love! Keiki ages 5 through 12 are welcome to this daily program held at our

smoothie mixing, sand art and a wildlife tour. Keiki Aloha is daily from
9:00am - 3:00pm and lunch is included. Full day program rate is $45.00 for
the first child and $30.00 for each sibling.

oceanfront acres of luxuriant landscaping, six distinct towers, three
dynamic restaurants, and a 142-yard fresh water swimming lagoon.
